BabyDoll Sheep

Babydoll Sheep are a favorite breed for too many reasons to name! 

Babydoll Southdowns are a small-framed sheep with short legs. They are known for their teddy bear-shaped face and their 'smile'. Both ewes and rams are polled. They have docile temperaments, and the ewes have good mothering ability. 'Babydoll' Southdowns are kept as pets and have found success as weeders in vineyards and orchards. They produce a 19-22 micron wool that is highly barbed, ideal for blending with other fibers. 

I personally chose the breed due to the size of my land and the efficiency in feed conversion. They easily maintain healthy weights on small scale intensive grazing practices. So are an incredible breed for small scale farming such as we do. I utilize everything the sheep produce from fiber to waste. Nothing goes unused on the farm!
